The kids are not happy, well SP is a little and Boo would prefer to never go back cause he just likes being lazy. 2 weeks ago, I liked being lazy too but now…oh yea, quieter days….I love my kids but sometimes, they just talk too much!
Happy last weekend of school break summer. Well, happy to us FL people anyway! Ta-ta!

So, I am probably going to hell since this really should not be a laughing matter. I just had to share this, its way too funny not to. Good friends and fireworks
Our little town decided to have a fireworks display last night so we had the immense pleasure of spending time with really nice friends and then watching the show together (they live very close to downtown). Its always a blessing to find really nice, fun people to share a great night with. Thanks J’s, pool party at our house next!
Happy 4th of July everyone…lets thank God and our forefathers for our freedom, remember those who keep our freedom possible and be sure to oooo and aaahhh everytime a big boomer lights up in the sky. Oh yea, and keep those fingers safe!

So yea, I took a siesta. A nice long, non-sleeping but beach side, relaxing siesta.
A lovely week in Little Gasparilla Island, FL and it was wonderful. Thanks to the parents for providing us with such a lovely week. One of these times it’ll be on us!
So, here’s the quick run down. The beaches there are gorgeous. Nice, clean, soft white sand. The shelling, unbelievable. We easily scooped out 70 some odd sand dollars at low tide. The rest of the shells were just as nice. All different kinds, all different sizes. The island, awesome. It was cool to go somewhere on vacation and remove all the typical touristy attractions. Travel was only by golf cart or on foot and obviously by boat to get off the island. Friendly people all over. Fisherman sharing tips and making suggestions for the best spots to catch lots. Really nice rental house ~The Rum Runner~ with 4 bedrooms priced just right.
All in all a really nice place. I defintely plan to go again. Need to get Smed there, he’ll love it. Best of both worlds.
